The Birmingham Pledge is an effort of the Birmingham, Ala., community to recognize the dignity and worth of every individual, no matter what race, religion or sex. This Pledge is our way to share with the world our community's commitment to eliminate prejudice in the lives of all people. It is a personal, daily commitment to remove prejudice from our own lives, as well as the lives of others, and to treat all people with respect. Copied from organization web site.
